Cheap Mobile Phones

Post by Myrona » Thu, 08 Oct 2009 5:56 pm

I was wanting to buy a new unlocked Blackberry Bold outright as I won't be here long enough to go on a plan. Where would be the best place (cheap, good, reliable store and preferably no haggling) to buy a new mobile phone in Singapore?

If this has been answered numerous times before - I do apologise, but I couldn't find any up-dated answers to this query.

Thanks in advance.

Sent you a PM with details of a dealer I once bought from. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks guys... I was hoping to get more replies to the post but I'll ask around at work as well and see what advice they can give.

All phones sold in Singapore will be unlocked per IDA regulations. There are about 25 bazillion phone shops in Singapore. I'd try some place like Funan IT mall and/or Sim Lim Square.

Remember, if you try SLS, that all prices quotes by law, must include GST. It's a common tourist scam to quote a price then add GST, which is illegal... restaurants and a couple of other things excepted.

New To Me

This is new to me too - the shop in Ang Mo Kio, I mean. Think will check it out.

Thank you. That was very helpful to spot one year old overdue spam. Gone now.
