I have a friend moving to Singapore with his wife and two children who needs advice on where to live. He will be working near Orchard Road metro. He will receive a minimal housing allowance so he has to find a place that isn't too expensive (Is less than 3000 possible?). Can anyone make some suggestions for a reasonable place near an MRT station?
Cheers.

I suggest you have a look around the forum and use the search function. This has been discussed many times before. Less than 3k is definitely possible unless you want a palace or you want to stay right smack on Orchard Road.
