Laptop

I am going to get a new laptop, and have always used Packard Bell, but fancy a change...anyone have any ideas what to for..as no experience of Acer, asus etc
Just need to be able to use internet and webcam etc and basic stuff...no fast running programs..any tips would be great

In that case I think the cheapest you can find will do. These days they are all of similar quality whether they are Toshiba, IBM, Asus, Samsung... the list is endless. What I would recommend is for you to go to Sim Lim and shop around. My mate did this last week initially wanting to buy an Asus but then there were so many offers that he just went for the best value for money. The one thing to look out for in your case would be ram and battery life then I guess.

just do a bit of price comparison and research on what you are getting. sim lim is notorious to rip you off but at the same time there are good shop as well.

if you lug your laptop around, the cheaper ones may not stand up to wear and tear...
