Mindchamps

Post by junelee » Mon, 28 Sep 2009 11:03 pm

I would like to share my good experience visiting mindchamps preschool located at east coast rd (next to glory eatery). I was impressed with the director who walked me around the school. She clearly explained to me the school curriculum and philosophy. In fact, it was my girlfriend who told me about the positive experiences by sending her son to the school. She said that the teachers are very passionate and patient. On one of the Sat, I visited the school with my my son again. if i'm not wrong, she's a Nursery teacher at level 1. she walked me around and shared with me about her passion being a preschool teacher and mindchamps curriculum. I was very delighted to realised that my boy was playing with the other two teachers and a little boy while this teacher walked me around. I am considering enrolling my child in this centre after we have found an apartment in the east next year.

I just like the name, "MindChamps" .... it suggests such a balanced education.

For me names like MindChamp, BrainBox, My Little Genius, etc. sounds a bit scary, I have visions of sad 3 years old sitting for IQ exams and reciting the Alphabet backwards,

I visited their newest branch on tanglin road. I wasn't too impressed. Maybe they were too new, it felt too quiet, I didn't get a sense of how the exercise fit into the curriculum, felt like a 7 to 7 drop off place. The kids seemed too well behaved.
