Nice wooden bedroom furniture at reasonable price

Post by mortlock2005 » Mon, 28 Sep 2009 4:20 pm

I want to buy my daughter a nice wooden bed with a trundle. I don't want an IKEA style, put-it-together-yourself set, but something nicely made in solid wood. I'm hoping to find something reasonably priced. Any suggestions on where to look?

Or you can try Wihardja. Its not top quality, but the price is quite affordable.

or try Furniture Mall - we were just there over the weekend and they had a couple of decent stores who specialize in wood/teak pieces. I think they were on the 3rd floor.

I can recommend Unicane (http://www.unicane.com/) truly quality service and products. They are pretty far away to the West but there are also many other furniture shops in the surrounding. With some shops at the Furniture Mall we have unfortunately at best mixed experience.

agreed the Furniture Mall had very WEIRD shops many with an 80's inspired feel to them (have no clue who buys the stuff!!), but the 2 stores we found did have basic pieces.

Or alternatively you may want to visit "The Helping Hand" at Upper Serangoon Road. They do sell new handmade furniture at reasonable prices. The Helping Hand is a place where they help provide ex-convicts and ex-drug absuers by providing them some work to do. Get cheap handmade furniture and help these folks at the same time!
