PEP and employment prospects

Post by aniyan2002 » Wed, 23 Sep 2009 11:34 pm

Hi,

I am a Indian management professional with 15 years of experince in Telecom and IT in India and Africa.I am 42 years old and is currently working as general Manager Sales and Marketing for a major telecom company in West Africa.I draw a salary of USD 7500 a month in addition to company other perks.I hold a Master Degree in Management (MBA)from a reputed University in India.Incidentally, my wife completed a graduate diploma cource in computer applications from NUS last year, but did not look for employment there. She is currently in India.

Will PEP make me eligible to apply for jobs in Singapore stating that I have a work permit? Or do I have to apply separately for a Employment Pass Eligibility Certificate (EPEC)?

Can I do this from my current location-online/through consultants?

Does my profile look prospective to get a sound position in Singapore?

Can I do this from my current location-online/through consultants? NO it must be done manually for none-EP holding applicants

Does my profile look prospective to get a sound position in Singapore? Possibly, but depends on how much they are tightening up on foreigners trying to get in. Read some of the recent threads here.
