obama on david letterman...
obama on david letterman...
just caught yesterday's lateshow. although i don't know what sort of person he's like, and he could be just there to sell his healthcare plan and put a spin on the economy (he probably was)...
but i'm glad my vote was for obama. it's about time someone like him took office, and i'm terribly pleased he's boycotting fox and denying them interviews.

He talks the talk, but I'm not too impressed so far by how he walks the walk...Strong Eagle wrote:Right on, Mr. Taxico... there are those that label him socialist, communist, nigger, and more... but he really is a centrist in policy and execution and on the whole, Obama is by far the best president to come along in maybe many generations.

Unfortunately, he's walking closer and closer to what I predicted during the primaries. But again, only time will tell. Unfortunately, however, if he is wrong, our country is going to be mortgaged for the next 4 generations. After the past 2 weeks here, I'm starting to worry big time after listening and observing things on the ground and not just on the internet. It's getting really scary here. And the costs of day to day necessities is almost worse than Singapore. And unemployment isn't going down at all and is almost at double digits even now. All the while the bigwigs are saying it's over. Somebody is definitely out of tough in DC.

looking to our founding fathers and some of our ex-presidents, examples of then-controversial policies/decisions can be found.
(and i am not thinking about rutherford b hayes here!)
the way things are today are the result of past policies and what has been allowed to happen in the past many decades.
while many of obama's policies may be startling right now, it's my opinion that they will yield benefits in the long run.
america's more than what the cost/quality of living will mean to the next Nth generations... it's time we all toughen up.
things have to get worse before they get better, just as it always has. while he promised believable change, obama never said it was gonna be easy.
