Hi, me and my fiancee are planning to get a private unit? I need some suggestions what are some good ways to find suitable units.

#1 locate housing agent
#2 inform housing agent of "housing needs"
#3 liase with agent over what is available + repeat steps 1 and 2
#4 ta da!

or

#1 be more specific in your question
#2 co-ordinate your eyeballs, hands and brains
#3 search online housing rental/sale databases + repeat steps 1 & 2
#4 ta da!

Or the old fashioned way:
#1 buy a newspaper
#2 read the classifieds for apts for sale/rent based on yr need
#3 start calling the numbers in the add +repeat steps 1 & 2
#4 ta da!

Maybe he's looking for advice on 'value for money' (areas to avoid etc)or maybe he's NEVER done this before....

I was actually feeling very romantic when i read this, and thought a tent at East Coast would just be ideal!

I'm such a drop out some times!

and it looks fun, though I know some are really suffering! You really gotabe street wise in this place kiddo, no offence meant! But some families with kids are walking the streets and sleeping on the void decks, that is the reality of it, not everyone can pay their bills, and are subjected to eviction sooner than later!
