Our Flilipina helper has been with our family for 6 years. We will be relocating to Singapore in December and, of course, want our helper to be with us.
I read on the MOM website that only helpers under the age of 50 years are allowed.
Does anyone have any experience of knowledge on what we can do to bring our helper. We are able to give financial and health care undertakings if necessary.
Anyone have any experience of this?
Thanks

When you fill in the paperwork to apply for her visa send an appeal as the cover letter (on the EP holder stationary if possible) stating that she has been with you for 6 years and it would be disruptive for the family to employ a new helper. That the children would settle in better...etc. They may also want to see backup documentation (tax invoice, insurance...etc) anything you have to prove she has been with you for that long. (Not necessary - but will help.)
If you are going through an agency they will be able to help you answer this question as well. I filed independently and this is what MOM told me to do. Our helper was approved (but at the time she was 49 and didn't speak English - so I was more worried about her failing the English test. It was waived.)

I brought ours in, she is 52, apart from the letter to be submitted, I provided the old contract to prove she used to work with us before in another country.
