My suggestion would be to get a local MP engaged, preferably one on the winning side, and explain your situation. It is a catch 22 situation which they may not have considered and therefore it needs to be approached by someone that can lay the cards on the table, it will need government approval at the highest level to clear you. I would draft a letter with your parents MP to the PM to ask him for help in solving catch 22 legal problem, it cannot be in Singapore best interest to block loyal and dedicated people.

Keep the letter to the point and sign off with, your obedient servant, they will love that :wink:
