Interested in Tennis?

Post by who288 » Sun, 06 Sep 2009 6:21 pm

Hi,

I'm new into Singapore and would love to hear from any expats who are interested or already have a tennis group set-up which I may be able to join on a regular basis.

I've already left messages in the previous tennis forums but I've had no response.

Thanks.

Hi Pablito,

Do you have any courts or know of any we can reserve on a regular basis near town?

Hi Wendy,

I too am interested and looking for a tennis group to join but it seems really difficult since almost all groups are overflowing with members...:)

If you and others are interested, we can probably have our own group and start off with the games. I can try and make reservations for courts as well. Let me know if you are game.

Also what is your preferred timings of play?? I would prefer weekends mornings but i am flexible based on the group.

Hi Agopal,

There's 3 of us in total including Pablito.

Weekend morning's good for me. Can you get a court booked up for this Saturday or Sunday? We can work around and see what time the courts available. Just not silly hours of 07:00.

Will it be anywhere near town?

Wendy

Wendy,

I just checked out available courts and there are none available for this weekend for the morning time slots.

I was able to find a slot for the evening though at Farrer Park Tennis Centre between 7:00 - 8:00 PM. Would you be okay by this?? If yes, i can go ahead and make the bookings.

Cheers
Aditya

How about the afternoon slots? I prefer to play in the daylight than dark.

Thanks.

Getting a court over the weekend for a prefered time slot is a herculean task in itself as pretty much everything is booked.

One of my friends is trying to get some courts arranged at his work place. If that works out, probably we can have some games there.

I just saw this posting after sending reply to others.. Can you count me in as well?
If court is still not booked, I'll try to check as well.
Thank you!

Thanks Agopal, do keep on trying.

Nahma - would be great if you could get a court.

We definately have enough people interested so we just need a court.

Time and place, we'll be there!

Hi, tomorrow morning is a bit difficult for me but how about next Sunday, maybe morning? I'll check whether the court is available if enough people can make it.
For in case, the confirmation of court availability is given before 24 hrs of booking time (if we book court at 10am, Sunday morning, then we receive confirmation after 10am of Saturday morning). Is it OK? Also the fee is $20/hr, not too expensive, I think :-)

Nahmar, could you do tomorrow afternoon then and is there court availability? Otherwise, it'll be next Saturday and Sunday. Was really hoping to start this week or as soon as possible.

$20/hour for the court, must be very decent grounds.

who288,
I sent PM to you with my number. I'll try to check today's afternoon, probably after 4:00pm if court is OK.
cheers.
