[Ask]Chance to work in Big 4 Accounting firm at Singapore

Post by kiroma » Tue, 01 Sep 2009 3:58 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently working in one of the big 4 accounting firm in Indonesia, with above 2 years experiences.
My Wife is also working in one of the big 4 accounting firm in Indonesia, with above 3 years experiences.

We are planning to relocate to Singapore and are starting to apply for Permanent Residence.

Do our experiences enough to work in the big 4 accounting firm at Singapore? What is the most likely renumeration for us both?

Is it possible taking master degree at Spore while working?

Thanks a lot for the help. :)

you would be better of trying to transfer within your existing firms to singapore then come here and try and pick up a job. find a supportive manager/snr/director/partner in your indonesian firm and get them to build the bridge with the singapore equivalent firm.

if that is not an option for some reason, all big 4 have 'generic' openings on their career websites. prepare a decent CV highlighting your specific experience, where you see a fit in their firm, and see if you get any response.

good luck.

Hi,

All I know is that Deloitte is losing a lot of people lately; in one of their groups, there is someone tendering his/her resignation every week.

How do I know? My gf works there... You guys can try your luck there although your application would have more weight if this was endorsed by a current employee in the firm.

Goodluck!! Season is almost starting and from what I noticed, it is definitely hell...

My new colleague who came over from Deloitte say 75% of his group have left, largely due to a pay cut and they are not allowed to claim for OT.
