Can Apply EPEC and LPR At the Same Time?

Postby maha777 » Mon, 31 Aug 2009 4:46 pm

Hi everyone,

I have just graduated with bachelor degree in Singapore. Currently I am holding student pass which expires on Dec 2009.

I am thinking of applying for LPR. But as we know, LPR takes at least 2 months to be processed. And I will also have to surrender my student pass in order to apply for LPR, so I was told.

This means I will have to return to my country (Indonesia) for few months before I can come back and apply for job.
This will be difficult for me. I was wondering if I could at the same time, while waiting for my LPR to be processed, I also apply for EPEC which only take few weeks processing time.

Will doing so affect my chance of getting my LPR approved?

My main objective is just to be able to start looking for job as soon as possible. Btw, my degree is listed as one of the recognized ones by MOM.

Kindly advise. Thank you so much for your help.
