Help with What camera to buy.

Post by xnessa » Fri, 28 Aug 2009 9:18 pm

Hi, as you can see. Im a girl, and not quite well informed about the camera or electronics department :p
It would mean alot to me, if anyone can tell me about , good and affordable camera brands i can look out for. Either Digital or Bridge Cameras. And, where can i get them, shops that are genuine and wont overcharge. As i am buying the Camera for my Significant other, for our One year anniversary.

Thankyou so much.
Your comments are very much appreciated.

looking at http://www.alanphoto.com.sg/index.html, their pick of the month cameras are not too bad. is that within your budget?

hm. if you're buying for your other half - you may want to research what he likes first?

For brands - you can't really go wrong with canon / olympus / sony

For shops- just grab it from any of the electrical outlets. if you arent familiar - try the bigger stores like best denki / audio house/ courts. you can't go wrong.

or else you can head to alan photo / cathay / ms colour. these are more for cameras.

Best advice. wait for comex next week. It gives the better deals (Suntec 10-13 2009) just google comex 2009 for more info.

Canon HQ in harbourfront will give you a indepth hands on for all their cameras wihout the "must buy now" bit. You can then use that information and get one elsewhere but at least you will know what you looking at.

Enjoy....I had fun.
