Slingbox (access to US TV from the States)

Post by dadelaw » Thu, 27 Aug 2009 5:43 pm

I would be really grateful if anyone who is familiar with this could give me full and complete details of how to access this. I know nothing of this and I'm told this is the only way to access US TV direct.
Thanks

you need a friend in the US that is willing to hook it up for you. the slingbox will be connected to your friend's broadband connection and TV tuner or satellite. once setup, the slingbox will broadcast it via the internet for you to access (view) it anywhere in the world.

p/s your friend's broadband will need to have a good upload speed.

I went to a bar few weekends ago and watched the Michigan/Notre Dame game at 3am.

They were using this service:

www.a2btv.com

Pretty much the same thing as slingbox I suppose
