Making friends

Post by ss80768 » Thu, 27 Aug 2009 1:30 pm

I have just moved to Singapore a few days for an assignment from the UK and only know 1 person here.

I would love to make friends to social with - met up for coffee /drinks etc. after a day at work. Have someone to be a tourist in Singapore with.

I am 49 years old - enjoy a laugh and exploring but not sure where I can met people who are in a similar age bracket who are just looking for friendship.

Any ideas and suggestions on how to meet people would be much appreciated as I so want to enjoy my time out here

You really might ought to consider joining the Friends of the Museum http://www.fom.sg/.

It is mostly women, some men... from all over the world. My wife is a member and has met many very interesting people and made good friends... not to mention learning a lot about Asia and getting to take interesting trips all over the place.
