NRIC After Completeing Citizenship Process

Post by cpa100 » Tue, 25 Aug 2009 2:28 pm

Dear All,

My girlfriend had finished all the necessary processes of becoming a SG Citizen. She even got the Passport last Saturday.

However, ICA said that Pink NRIC will only be ready after 3-6 months!!!

Does anyone know why it takes so looooog time for just a plastic card??What is ICA waiting for??

Thanks!

Should have been issued with a temporary IC card straightaway. It's not until you attend the Citizenship Ceremony do you get presented with Pink IC card.

Hi,

Yes, there was a temporary IC issued, just a paper actually...

So, does it mean that they hold on to your NRIC in order to make sure you to attend the ceremony..?

Thanks!

It's the way Singapore does things. Is there a problem with it? :?
