Where to buy Blackberry supplies??

Post by StockAnswer » Mon, 24 Aug 2009 6:15 pm

Hi all

I would need to buy a USB-to-micro-USB cable to connect my Blackberry to my PC. Funnily even my phone company - Starhub - (that sells BBs) does not sell such a cable.

It would not have to be a specific BB cable - any USB-to-micro-USB cable or adapter would work.

I have checked the shoppes at Funan IT Mall and Plaza Singapura but to no avail. Anything involving "micro USB" seems to be very hard to find :???:

But if anyone knows of a shop that sells other Blackberry supplies, I would like to hear.

cheers

My guess is that the sales person doesn't understand what a USB to micro is!

Take your phone to a camera shop and ask for a USB cable to fit a mini or micro guaranteed they will have it, take the phone with you! Sim Lim towers is the best place to get it. But ensure you have an idea of price.

do a search on ebay to get a rough idea on prices. take your blackberry with you in case the cable is not what you are looking for. for example, the blackberry 8800 and 8900 usb port are different. such a pain when you got all the cables for one that doesnt work for the other!

usb mini and micro are easily mixed up!

Thanks for your tips! yes I was offered a "mini" type more than once but eventually found the right type at Sim Lim.
