Big travel 'fair' at suntec this weekend.

We are going to Malacca. 2 people, 3 days 2 night $299 total. 5 star hotel.

Wish us luck.

Try pulau ubin, technically still in Singapore but it's a small rural island.

Relatively undeveloped. You can get catch a bus to Changi Village and then take a boat across. Cycling around the island is fun.

Another alternative is Johor Bahru for cheaper food/shopping or the exploring the surrounding area.

May want to consider flying to East Malaysia - Kota Kinabalu, Kuching. Flights quite reasonable and you can get good hotel deals.
You should try the white water rafting in KK. It's awesome!

Nothing much in Batam dude. First that comes to mind is Sleazy. No pun intended but that is how i see it.
Visit Kuala Lumpur or Bali if u wanna have a short getaway from rustle bustle singpore.....and yeah....love the beach in Bali and shop, eat, party in KL.

Lots of choices. I've friends whom fly to bali, hk, krabi on friday evening and come back on sunday night.

Less than $200 per pax if you book early.

Usually I go Batam for Spa, seafood, shopping...
Usually went on Sat, and back on Sun...

More or less like a 'short gateway' =D

Pulau Hantu, aka Ghost Island? You mean Singapore's solitary dive site, with pea-soup visibility and scenic vistas of container ships? :o
