Are you still in Singapore Dolores?
I can't seem to find anyone to go on bike tours with me.
Most of my Singaporean friends are simply not adventurous enough for me.
I tell them my plan on cycling round Singapore then camping on East Coast Park and they roll their eyes!

haha, yes... tell them that you're planning for a picnic and you get that too. people here get too much sun that they dont enjoy it as much. anyway, i'm speaking as an asian as well, but i do love the outdoors and i dont really have any buddies in singapore to do outdoorsy stuff with. i'm not *that* fit, but i'll try to keep upvincemcman wrote:Are you still in Singapore Dolores?

Just returned (tired and sore) from 3 days cycling around Bintan. 200kms avg speed 18kph (about mid group). There are a number of cycling clubs around. The guys on this trip join GP (stands for Goreng Pisang!) riders in Singapore (and they sound slightly less anal than the rest). Otherwise they just tend to organise their own. Currently there's a tour in Feb to Cambodia and we're starting to plan Batam in Jan.
They connect via the Hiking Trekking Traveling Buddies group on www.meetup.com (too tired to find the link for you). Its mainly Singaporeans - which is a good thing to branch out and meet the other 75% of the population (discussions on the weekend turned to foreigners taking jobs etc before they realised that the British guy sitting at the table with them was a recruitment agent!)
