I've tried many different brands and so far, only Evans has helped to reduce my puffy eyes and dark eye rings. You can buy it from John Little, Specialists Centre, Level One at its cosmetics store just at the entrance.

My friend uses a serum which has helped to reduce her eyebags and puffy eyes. She is very happy and she says it's a miracle.

Help !!

Post by roxygerrr » Wed, 23 Aug 2006 5:35 pm

Hi girls, i have some queries about eye cream. lately, i bought a new eye cream, "Kiehl's Cryste Marine". The SA told me its the second best selling pdt (btw, the best selling pdt is their lipbalm) and it's said to be effective for dark eye rings.

However, to my horror, after applying it for a day (day and night), i realized both of my eyes swell up. Its not just the eye bags below the eyes that swells, but the eyelids were swelling as well. It isn't itchy but it looks horrible, you may have experienced major swelling of your eyes when you wake up in e morning after a terrible cry at night, and it's exactly the kind.

I don't know if it is because of the eye cream, that causes allergy. Or is it that i applied too much and my skin is oversensitive to take it. Anyone else have encounter such problems? I'm afraid to try it again but feel wasted to throw away as i used it only once and it cost me $65!!

Sleep early before 12 midnight and drink less water at night (especially after 8pm), to avoid water retention on the eye area, if you do drink, use higher pillow to support your head. :)

I saw a prog on tv & a PS said it is the actual bag under the eye that causes a shadow which makes you think you have dark circles when in fact they are shadows caused by the excess skin bagging. The only answer is cosmetic surgery or possibly a cream which would dramatically tighten the skin underneath the eye, & with my bags a cream that could tighten that much would be I guess uncomfortable & possibly crack if I laughed
