Hi,
I'm going to be moving to Singapore in a few weeks with work. My work has organised my accommodation and I'll be living in a block on Hillview Ave. That's about 11kms away from work (near Buona Vista MRT).
I've been on gothere and I can't find any way of getting to work that takes less than an hour - this worries me incredibly because I'm not used to commuting for more than 20mins and unfortunately I can't change my accommodation for at least the first year.
Is it possible to walk to the Bukit Gombak MRT station from Hillview Ave? If there is a way through Bukit Batok town park then this could solve my nightmare journey. Also, and here is the naivety coming out, how hilly is it up there? I come from the flattest part of England so I'm really not used to hiking!
Plus, any tips on living in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you can take the bus but will need to change once or take the bus to bukit batok and take the MRT. not much of a hill where you are to to both MRT station.

They are now on a 28 day (14+14) stay-at-home notice.
Are these homes regulated? Do you think it matters / impacts spread of COVID?
Last post
Yes - I see them around me. I'd rather they were there than stuffed into dorms. Physical distancing is very important to stop the spread.
Sorry,...

Is this article for real? (I've been living in Newton for 2 years, didn't know Robertson Quay condos were that big a deal and that cheap!)
