Private health insurance for recently unemployed

Post by green72sky » Sat, 01 Aug 2009 9:46 am

Hi, I've been recently unemployed but am staying in Singapore while I look for a new post. I am under a PEP (personalized employment pass) so visa status of staying here is fine for at least 6 months. In the meantime, I need medical coverage for myself and my family. Given that we're not a PR, I don't think we can subscribe to the Singapore public scheme of Medisave, so I assume we need private coverage. Any recommendations?

SOME PEOPLE TRY TO TURN BACK THEIR ODOMETERS. NOT ME. I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHY I LOOK THIS WAY. I'VE TRAVELED A LONG WAY, AND SOME OF THE ROADS WEREN'T PAVED. ~ Will Rogers

If you're getting a medical card, I recommend Great Eastern gold. I'm using it and it's good, and easy; covers quite a lot of panel clinics in almost every neighborhood. There should be a bunch of other providers.

Try searching under Aviva or AXA
