International Nursery Near Costa Rhu??

Post by Lochsong » Sat, 25 Jul 2009 2:25 pm

Not finalised yet but high probability we will be moving to Singapore in Jan 2010 for 2 years. Have been studying this website for weeks and trying to get ideas of where would be suitable for us :???:

Have 2 kids, who wil be 3 and 1.

Looking at the Costa Rhu as its looks good for families - does anyone have any experience of it?? Also do they have their own washing machines??? Its not that clear! :)

Also what good International Nursery schools are near this area and is there plenty for 2 toddlers to do?? Any Mothers and Baby/Toddlers groups nearby?

Thanks in advance.

Before we moved we got the name of a good real estate agent who was great. I wrote to her and she only took us to places that met our requirements. If you want her details send me a private message and I’ll give you her number.

Costa Rhu is good, I have a few friends with toddlers living there and they like it. One of them sends her son to Odyssey on Wilkinson Road, it’s a daycare/school. But there are lots more in the area.

I joined a few mums groups ‘East Coast Mum’s Support Group’ and ‘Singapore Active Toddlers Meet Up Group’, both have mix of local and expat mums.

Singapore has lots for toddlers to do and if it’s too hot outdoors then take them to one of the many indoor play centres. The latest one to open in Polliwogs on the east coast that my girls loved.

The biggest challenge (and every other western woman I know) is finding a good hairdresser for my Caucasian hair. It took 1 ½ years but finally found one I can ping you her details to.

Good luck!

The busier the boys are during the day the easier it is me :D

Hairdressers are the bain of my life! I moved around (scotland) a lot and I only found a hairdresser I really like about 3 years ago!!!!!!!!!!!! #-o
