Just do it!

Postby mauvecloud » Mon, 26 Oct 2009 11:24 pm

I hope we can pull in more people.

At least we have actually gotten out of the house and met, unlike many of the floundering threads hereabout.

(maybe because we stuff our fingers in our ears when well-meaning people like Resource Consumer offer to share their local wisdom with us ignorant ferriners. but hell yes, bitching about bad and expensive food is kinda comradely fun too!)

Yeah Twilight! Pregnant teens for the win!

May I join this club?

Postby penny_chin84 » Tue, 27 Oct 2009 11:37 am

I'm a single female expat; working in Sg for 15 months. I'm fed up with my dull working life. Want to make more friends here. Mind to count me in any gatherings here?

Welcome, penny. Singapore, or any other place in the world, is only as fun or as boring as you make it.

So people, where do we meet THIS Saturday?

http://www.sevenatenine.com/sg/index.html

where the FNDC party is?

The "nudist on strike" get-up seems to be gaining popularity.

Hey, Steve-R,

Dress as you normally would and get an A4-sized card that says:
"To: Women, From: God"?

Or is that more apt for davidplato?

:P

People had given me so much help when i got seriously lost overseas, so i always make it a point to return the favour.

Actually some of us have gotten to know each other and we went to bangkok and ho chi minh on the weekends. Crazy stuff.

We should try to meet up one day. Not strong drinkers ... save for the frenchman :)

You mean apart from this Saturday, the Halloween Party and the Geylang outing on Nov 6?

What do you have in mind? :)

So is the plan to meet somewhere at the esplanade first then crash the FNDC Halloween party afterward?

My vote is for Thai or Korean BBQ. Do I get to vote?

Holy shi--Thai Express's got this big, blue circle. Where's the Korean place? Couldn't find it in the list. I would've voted Japanese but I'll be making (and eating) it already the night before.

2. lilynova
3. nakatago
4. steve-r
5. ....

I'll lean over backward to accommodate you there.

But then restaurant reviews are always discouraging, which is why I never read them :P (actually I did)

Then again, I have cast-iron constitution, both with regards to food and surly servers :P

(spicy for teh win! )

Gummiberry is in and I'm trying to get some of the rock climbing group to join. Penny_chin84 said they are in a few posts up.

So it looks like we have six people so far.

David has to be in since he made a promise to break out his dance moves this time.

Hopefully we can get the group size up over 10 people this time!
