kinda want
i'm now 50:50 if the dress code is a make or break for entry requirement.
i'm more fond of looking at what others are wearing than making the effort to hunt for something that i get to wear only once. a. year.
thoughts, people?

We can always try to crash the FNDC halloween party with no costumes and if we can't get in we can always head off somewhere else at the Esplanade or head to Clarke Quay.
The rock climbing group is interested in meeting up with our group for Halloween. We hung out at Clarke Quay on Sunday and I got drunk right before my first day of work! Gummiberry showed up too but I finished off the Brewerkz tower by then.
We can get a list going for people interested in crashing the FNDC Halloween party on Saturday. We can also have a small get together on Friday night if anyone is interested.
As for the next planned event:
Geylang Dinner and "Dessert"
Meet for good food and drinks while experiencing the seedy side of Singapore!
Friday, Nov. 6th

Honestly speaking the best rating i can give to the food in geylang will be "average and overpriced." But if you are treating this as a geylang food-tasting experience then that's fine. And this is coming from a local
For some reason or another the authorities have clamped down on the streetwalkers hard recently. So again if you are looking out for seedies in geylang, it may turn out fruitless.

Yes, we're here for the fude
Dude (I assume you ain't a Dudette, but I stand corrected), the only way we'd be looking for seedies in Geylang is if at least 50% of the streetwalkers look like the average host in Shinjuku soapland.Resource Consumer wrote:Honestly speaking the best rating i can give to the food in geylang will be "average and overpriced." Wait, which saturday are we all talking about? It's the FNDC Halloween Party, right? I'm game for that one. I'll come as a superhero-turned-private-eye who wears street clothes.
Or as Antonio Banderas.
Whatever.
Geylang outing, huh? Too bad we're too old to use the "it's for a socio-anthropology class paper" as an excuse.
When I first arrived in Singapore, my company actually had me housed in a Serviced Apartment in Geylang. Odd-numbered Lorong though.
I once ventured out at night. Didn't see no nothing.
Should be very interesting. Yesssssss......

I'm calling it right now, a lot will be dressed as...
* gloomy emo-kids, calling themselves vampires. DAMN YOU, TWILIGHT!!!
* cat women. at the very least, cat ears
* devil. at the very least, devil horns
* anything so garish that it can only described as something you could see from outer space using Google Earth.
And for your viewing pleasure, Transformers costume that actually transforms! :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gyQCcNM ... re=related
