one rochester is very favorable to me. it's right smack in the middle of where I work and where I live :D Although, I've eaten in North Border there for lunch and it can be quite pricey.

Glad to see someone else organising something! :)

One Rochester is not exactly at a convenient location though...? What about the Esplanade? Maybe Harrys or Al Dante?

Or PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance?

And I would prefer a Friday evening :)

the more, ehem, esteemed members of our community here are planning something this friday. the booze is cheap, ambience ok.

but it's in kovan.

I'm not the really bar-type person but perhaps this can help: http://www.hungrygowhere.com/singapore/

If we get enough responses we can meet up this Friday. If not we can put it off until next Friday to get a bigger group.

So far it looks like:

1. davidplato
2. mauvecloud
3. timtams
4. qatarbabe
5. nakatago
6. frostingz
7. Steve-R

I prefer Clarke/Boat Quay or Esplanade(do you walk there from City Hall MRT?) I'm fine with Harry's or any other place. Gotta finalize the location soon. Hopefully we can get a few more people to go. Did the "underachievers" theme scare people off?

Hiya,

I would like to join the "Whine & Dine" as well. For me, both Fridays will do, this one or next week.

I think Clarke Quay is always an option. How about Tapas Tree, they have nice asian and western cuisine?!

regards, Stef

Since we are running out of time to organize I have made the executive decision to meet up at The Tapas Tree at Clarke Quay Friday, Oct. 16th at 7:30pm.

I will PM people from this thread to see if they are interested. If there aren't enough people by end of day Thursday the event will be postponed until next Friday, Oct. 23rd.

Please respond ASAP if you can make it. Thanks!

Steve

Thanks,

Steve

Ok. So the Group so far looks like:

For sure:
1. Steve-R
2. Nakatago
3. Davidplato
4. Mauvecloud
5. Choya

latecomers:
6. Frostingz
7. Qatarbabe
8. Steff77

The group is looking a little small so there is a strong possibility of postponing until next Friday, Oct. 23rd so we can have more time to get together a larger group.
