Changing company during PR application

Post by Asdracles » Fri, 10 Jul 2009 7:40 pm

Finally I have decided to apply for PR. My profile, and specially my company one fits quite well, however I know how inpredictable result is. But most of my colleagues, with lower qualifications/income got it, si it should be ok.

My doubt is that my boss has sold the company to a multinational. Effect date will be 1st september. No difference in our way of working, my current boss will be branch Executive Director, everybody will do same work, keep same wages....

So I was thinking about applying before the change, as my current company has a good background even with activities linked to official bodies, ministry of education, spotrs council, ... And more years of activity. But I'm worried about proccessing time. If I apply next week, it will not be sorted before I have to change my EP to new company.

Has anyone been in this situation before??

Thanks!

Sorry for repetition... I just have changed the title of the topic to make it a bit more clear.

Nobody has been in this situation before?

hi!
i think i read in the other posts that if your EP is cancelled the application is automatically cancelled as well. however if you do get a new job, just apply for the EP and wait for the IPA before cancelling your old EP. maybe you can ask your boss not to cancell it yet until you get a new job?

I think this kind of answers your question:

26. I have changed employment after submitting my SPR application/receiving my SPR approval. Will it affect the status of my SPR application?

If your SPR application is still under processing, please submit your new work pass togther with the Annex A (to be filled up by your new employer) for our consideration. If your SPR application has been approved, please submit your new work pass together with EP152 (to be filled up by your new employer) for our consideration.
