Estimated maternity cost at Mt. Elizabeth Singapore

Post by Soumya » Fri, 10 Jul 2009 10:41 am

For some reason the website of Mt. E is not working. Please provide the website of the hospital.

I am not pregnant now.....but I just want to know the estimated maternity cost at Mt. Elizabeth Singapore. (Dr Selina chua). I need to plan my finance accordingly. BTW I am not a PR here.

I would like to know the cost involved for both normal and caesarian.

Thanks and Regards.

Might be a good start to do a search on this forum for maternity costs. I had a baby a couple of years ago so the pricing may be out of date - but you will need to factor in hospital charge, OBGYN fee for delivery, anaesthesiologist fee, plus your doctor fees throughout the pregnancy. We factored on about 10k and came in around 7k+ (but this was not a c-section).

i gave birth last year by scheduled c section and the total hospital bill including 7 nights (by choice) and obstetrician was 16k, this did not include the 9 months of visits prior to delivery. I thought it was worth every cent and would definitely do it again.

cheers

7k is a good estimate for hospital costs (not including ob/gyn) regular visits... cost is worth it. I am an expat and had two there... and no issues whatsoever (except rooms look old) Staff great and lactation consult great too. You should look into getting insurance to cover any emergencies though as this is when the costs spiral (ie,,,, early, early delivery) good Luck
