Google Clubfit or community centre gyms in Singapore. They are about the most reasonable as they allow payment per entry. They are all over the island and some are better than others. The downside is they can get really crowded.

You can also nego down California Fitness to around $40/month (for a 2+ year prepaid contract), which is pretty competitive with ClubFITT if you work out a lot, and the facilities and locations are nicer. Just be prepared for lots of hard sell for personal training...
Me, I'm a fan of SAFRA's EnergyOne gyms, but they're PR/citizen-only and most locations are kinda awkward.

Has anyone been to the Bukit Gombak ClubFITT? How is the condition of the equipment? I'll be staying in the Bukit Batok area and that's the nearest gym I could find on the internet.
Just to let anyone know if interested. I just found out you can use a 24 hr fitness membership to go to California fitness for 90 days before needing to get a local membership.

Hey... I used to go to Clementi Sports Hall gym. S$2.50 per entry. They've got all the machines (low-tech, but ok). It's Clementi Ave. 3, right beside the swimming pool.
Dude, also contact me re: Orchard Blvd room-to-rent:

If you can, try to go for an older development. The units and the facilities are usually much larger, most of the new developments are like shoeboxes.
