Here it goes :

i am setting up a office for 3-4 people and I need to apply for Braodband,a new fax line , do up a company website and get a personal company email address.

Can anyone advise, is there any Telco or some other ccompany that can help me do all this ? I tried going to Singtel website but I dont know if its a good idea to get Singtel. Hope to hear from others here. :)

Hi Chixchix
Here are some suggestion u can take a look

To apply for a Broadband and fax line, these are the three provider you u can explore, they may have different business package that you can compare
a. SingTel
b. M1
c. Starhub
For Company Website and company email
a. Firstly you need to register a company domain – you can do a google search for registrar for domain
- With a company domain than you can have a email that looks like that “chixchix@xyz investment .com”

Hiii there ..thanks at least there was a reply...ok regarding the Domain .. can the company that will help me with the website..do the domain for me ?

Also, there will only be 3 staff. should I just take those "Huawei" sticks for broadband from Starhub ?

Thanks for your reply !

You can register your domain with either Siteground or go daddy. You can engage them to do your website as well, but they are located in the US so you can only communicate with them via email since u r located in Singapore.

As for boardband, is difficult for me to comment, bcos it all depend on what is your needs and requirement. You can find out more from the three ISP and compare the benefits of the different plan and costing.

Here is what I did for my website and email

I register two different domain
a. www.nexusriskmgt.com with siteground and did my own web design
- siteground host my website
b. www.nexusrm.com.sg with ifoundries (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd
- they host my email
ifoundries is a IT firm in Singapore, I believe they can handle all your needs to set up website, email etc. try talking to them

You can look for Andy Lim (96246245), he is the Mgr handling my account.

Cheers

8-) Don worry is ok to be :???: , I was the same when I first started.

Siteground services.

Once u sign up with them for a package, some of the service included will be
a. U can register a Domain name with them - which every year u have to pay a subscription fee to keep this domain.
b. If u sign up with a package, it comes with a "basic sitebuilder software" (web base) of which u can create your own basic webpages, which u can published it when is completed. if u need to use more features of the sitebuilder software, than u need to pay additional subscription fee to use the advance features in the sitebuilder software.
c. if your website is more for information only, is easy to create it yourself, since the sitebuilder comes with template that u can use. but if u need more complicated stuff such as flash, collecting of leads etc, u may need more time to learn those stuff.

So for hosting of webpages…
WebPages are similar to the books that u wrote about rock claiming, but in order to published it on the internet,

- U need a company that has server which is connecting to the internet.

- Then U can upload your book in the server, and the company that owns the server will charge u a fee to store this information in the server and publish it on the internet.

So this is call hosting of webpage / website

hope this help :D
