What shoes for school

Post by chrisali31 » Fri, 03 Jul 2009 10:55 pm

Hello,

My daughter is going to ISS in August, grade 2, I need advice on what shoes to put her in. The school have told me closed toe, which I took to mean black traditional school shoe from Clarkes etc. We are from England and that is what they would all have worn, but someone has told me that it means trainers or sneakers, as its an American school.

Please advice, It would be awful to send her in something that might get her picked on on her first day.

Thanks

Why not some cute trainers that she picks out? You can figue out what the kids are wearing after she's attended school for a bit.

only a couple of International Schools insist on the UK idea of school shoes. Most have trainers, either black or white as standard wear. By closed toe, they don't want kids turning up in flimsy sandals or flip flop type shoes. Just call the school office and check what colour is the norm.
