you're posting something you haven't read to annoy people? Nice one.
anyway, i'll bite.
Having read it, I did wonder whether a lot of it was posted tongue-in-cheek. If not, the person sounds a bit like a pompous asshole but he/she is right in a couple of things

I have to admit: This publication seems to have a serious case of dumb ass... why wouldn't you want links that drive readers to your website? Highly bizarre thought process there, especially when people pay money to Google to get hits.

Doubly ironic is that the organization in question feels quite free to print links to other sites.....

It never ceased to amaze me how all these self-professed geniuses provide so many identifying details that it's only a short matter of time until their identities are revealed...

Well, in some cases it's as easy as googling someone's forum name . . . and you get the whole shabang, from geeky mug to hobbies and 'profession'.

As SMS said . . .stupidity knows no boundaries

I think she probably meant sprog school, children school or someone without experience maybe branded a sprog, especially soldiers, the term was used a lot in my day, for someone new to the job. Although i may be wrong too

I believe it's more the local variety of the minnow in the pond. The lowest multi-celled lifeforms that are workr/drones of the community. Incapable of having any coherent independent thoughts of their own.

Doesn't carrying that chip on your shoulder get heavy sometimes?

I'm fully aware that jpatokal is a globally unique identifier trivially linked to my real name -- which is exactly why I use it. And that's why I don't slag my colleagues, coworkers, or clients online.

You know you've been in Singapore too long when... :P but no, she uses the term "frogs-in-the-well" herself.

And a bizarre post today:
I am not really a graduate of elite schools, Yale and Harvard.

I am a current student of NTU here. I started the blog because of issues I've not managed to overcome. I had elite envy.

I still don't really get what the big deal is though. Xiaxue's still my pick for politically incorrect ranting -- and far funnier to boot!
