Hi Maryjane

That's what i heard people saying too, that once u start, u'll go on and do other stuff. It's always the 1st step that's the hardest. As long as it doesnt harm your health, i think its ok.

Since the docs recommended a small implant, there must be a reason for it. Maybe from their experiences with so many patients, they think a small one suits u best and a medium one may be too big? Does the implant make your face longer too?

When u say your jaw is weak, do you mean that it is not defined enough? Actually i also have appearance of double chin and dont have a nice and defined jawline and wonder what can we do? Neck lipo? what are u considering for your jaw? :P

I cant PM u via this website because i m new & have too little posts and so i cant PM. Could u PM me your full email address pls? :)

i got no chin to start with!! LOL!!! so the doc gave me the largest implant!!!! he took out the small, medium and large and did comparison and then said he will use the large one.. i didnt ask much, i just told him i didnt want a longer face and i just wanted horizontal protrusion..Did intra oral, and the implant was really big.. LOL.. u will look ugly for 3 days like the moon/witch's chin, but after tat u'll be ok.. :) i hear the swellings will continuet o go down and by 3rd or 4th week tat shd be the final shape and size already..

immediately after tat u will still feel numb but for me i could talk after tat.. i think it was a little tough to pronounce some words like fish/put/ bone/ or any words that need to somehow pout ur mouth?? but few hrs later u would regain most movements of the mouth..

yes i felt a little scared cos i was awake thruout n i think the nurse gave a squeak when the doc cut the gums.. lol.. then i think the doc chided her and she stopped but i could feel her tension when she talk.. LOL.. the surgery took less 45mins to complete!! incl injections and covering me with the surgical robes/clothes and stitching up, less than an hr!!! it was fast!

be prepared that u can feel the pressure but no pain during the surgery.. there was tat much pressure tat i asked teh doc if he actually was trying to cut my bone which he didnt of cos.. LOL

i even went to youtube to see how the procedures were done and if the doc was gonna put a screw in my jaw.. he said he will not cos he's cutting a very small pocket to slide the implant in and so it wont shift.. for me, its impt for me to know how it will be done... he was quite surprised tat i even asked if he would add a screw to secure the implant.. lol..

actually this is the 3rd procedure on my face already and its the same doctor i went to.. so i know no fear already.. til i heard the nurse squeak.. lol.. after tat i went back on my own and the doc was quite concerned.. i told him i would be fine.. lol..

Hi Pootie

Where did u do it, is it Thailand?Did u go alone? I thought its brave for pp to go alone overseas to do PS.

Being in the PS line, the nurse should not have squeaked during the surgery. I tot its quite unprofessional of her as nurses should be used to seeing blood and 'gore'.

What else have u done, is it rhino? After all the procedures, are u more satisfied with ur appearance now. M asking cos i m curious if we become more satisfied or dissatisfied with ourselves after all the surgeries. :)

Did in Hatyai, enhanced my double eyelids, (made a deeper crease line), sharpened my nose and added a chin. :)

i discussed with the doc on what i would like to achieve and yes i'm very satisfied wtih the results. :) i completed my PS roadmad in 6 mths. LOL.

i didnt go alone i had some frens on my first trip and went with my SO on my second trip and i was very lucky to also meet some forummers to go there together.
