I am moving over to SG and debating if I should buy a iPhone here in the States or in SG. Which is cheaper?
I am guessing I would have to unlock the phone to map up with the carrier in SG? What is the price for a iPhone in SG on a international plan?

Hi,
My guess would be to buy a Singapore unit. US ones can be unlocked but i believe this may present problems with updates etc.
I got mine for about S$ 300 when i signed up for a 2 year plan.
There lots of phone/ data plans available
Check out
http://home.singtel.com/singtel/index.html#iphone
I think singtel is the only SP here that carries the iPhone . Not sure if this is still true ....maybe somebody else can pitch in on this
good luck

even if you jailbreak your US iPhone and use it in singapore, you still need to get a local sim with data plan. usually the bundle plan with an iPhone are much better than getting it seperately. your best bet is to get an iPhone in singapore if you gonna be using it mostly in singapore.
singtel is the only provider for iPhones.

I dunno... I think Starhub's data plans are better than Singtel but for the OP, the only place to buy IPhone in SG is at Singtel.

I bought my Iphone in Thailand almost a year ago. It cost me around S$500 and when I got to Singapore I signed up with a Starhub contract (got a free phone for that but gave it to my daughter). Ive never had any probs with any of the updates or applications.
The 3G mobile currently costs 24,000baht ($1000) in Thailand but that price will come down in the next 3 months.

Geo-restricted iPhone apps
Replies: 15
First post
In the Apple app store I am seeing more and more apps being geo-restricted. Last time I could at least get updates on apps that I downloaded that...

Did you copy/paste this from somewhere?
VPN might work for Android, but not iOS.
What are you smoking?

Would you rent or buy a property via virtual viewing?

First post
Given that you've not seen the house before, would you commit to rent or buy a property only by a virtual viewing? Especially during the Covid19...
