Where are the family friendly places to live in Singapore? Are there mostly high-rises or houses? are there particular areas in which Americans, Australians, British etc..tend to live in?

everywhere in singapore are family friendly, low or high rise, house or kampung. there's no one particular place that is "bad". and black, white, yellow, brown, orange, red, etc, they are everywhere as well. they dont tends to live in any particular place.

Thanks! We are moving from Hong Kong and have heard that there are not as many high-rises which is what I ideally want to be in. I am not keen on houses and backyards. In HK, there are some buildings/areas that certain ex-pats tend to go for so that is why I was asking.

oh HK, yes la, all the gwai low want to live in mid-level or discovery bay. singapore also got lots of high rise building but not as dense as in HK. where you live in singapore probably boils down to where you gonna be working and which schools your kids gonna goto.
