East Coast to Tanglin - Advice Please

Post by alihau » Mon, 22 Jun 2009 11:56 pm

Hi my daughter will be starting Tanglin school when we move to Singapore in a couple of months time. We are currently looking for a condo and was wondering if the East Coast a realistic possability. Does anyone know how long it will take on the school bus from say Costa Rue or Pebble Beach. What sort of time would she have to get the bus?
Alternatively if I drove her to school how long would the journey take then.

Also how easy is it for kids to meet up socially if you live out on the East Coast. Do kids who live out that way tend to socialise there as well or is it quite easy for them to travel into town to meet up.

I would appreciate any comments from people who live out that way and do have children at Tanglin.

Many thanks

How old is your daughter and where on the East Cost? I live at Tanah merah and the trip to tanglin would be 25 mins by car on average.

When I lived at Tanjong Rhu, we had friends whose kids went to Overseas famly School and the bus from there took about 35 minutes on average.

I have not noticed any issues with friends kids (teens in your case I assume) on the East Coast. Singapore is easy to get around so socialisation is not a problem. The social scene for pre schoolers is very busy :)

Cheers
