Hi, I used to be a Student in singapore. Currently holding O level cert. I'm from Taiwan and passport still have 3 yrs before expiry. Currently, my family did badly for business and had decleared bankcrupted in Taiwan. So I'm unable to continue to study anymore. I've been staying in Singaproe in 10 years and I decide to stay here to work. Currently I've cancelled my student pass and on Social Visit Pass. I guess i still can extent for 2 more month. I want to work in singapore and apply for work permit to save the air ticket money and help my family. Is it possible? Shall i apply for Dependance Pass? Is "PRC" includes Taiwan? Or any other way that I can still staying in Singapore to work? Please help me. Your help will be appriciated! May God Bless You!

You have to find a job first, and then apply for a work permit.

I'm currently 21 yrs old. I dont mind having pay around 1k to 2k. As long as its enough to feed myself. I work under Watsons before while i holding student pass. But the pay is way too low... (less then 1k per month...) So i want to find a job that's just over 1k will do. I just dont know the proceedure as i'm now holding Social Visit Pass...

I suggest that you see an MP in your Neighbourhood. Take a local friend along if you can. Explain your problem sincerely. I am sure he will help you.

I would think that MP do not answer emails from common people like us.
Take the bull by the horns: go to the office (remember Mermaid's advice, don't forget your local friend) and try to get an appointment. Be (very) nice with whoever will stand as a filter, this is the job of this person (and I think you will have to convince this person that you must be helped, if you want an appointment). Be careful, you do not want to annoy anyone either !
