To just get over the border you can go to a taxi stand on Queen St, near Bugis MRT station. The taxis here are licenced to carry you to one of two stops in JB ( Larkin bus station or some shopping centre). It used to cost $8 a person and you have to wait til there were 4 of you to share a cab over the border.

Yes, or $50 to get it to yourself. Maybe sometimes i managed to get it cheaper but it was a while ago and can't remember.

There are two choices...... take a SG cab from anywhere in SG to the centre of JB or get a JB taxi from Queen Street to take you anywhere in JB.

I had used a couple of SG taxis to pick me up at Changi, for example, and take me to the centre of JB from where i could hop into a local taxi. I also had taken a local taxi here to Queen St. then switched into a JB taxi me to take me to Senai.
