My kids have brought a US-model Nintendo Wii to Singapore.
The power adapter is 110V only, so we need to buy a 220V one. Needless to say it uses some silly proprietary connector so only an original Nintendo adapter will work.
Is there somewhere in Singapore that I can buy such an adapter?

hummm that's strange, when i checked my Japan Wii few month ago, I remember it could take 220V... I didn't use it yet, but I'll check tonight.
Otherwise, I guess the easiest would be to go to a big game shop, and ask them to order a new adapter for you. Or just buy a volt adapter... maybe not the most expensive solution according to the power needed by the Wii

Easy and cheap: Go to DIY Homefix and get a stepdown converter. That is what I did and it works brilliantly well. A 40W units should be fine. If you want to use it for more than one unit at a time (like an xbox as well or DVD...) get 60 or 80 W. I bought mine there for SGD 15 I think and worked fantastically well for four years now.

Re: 220V power adapter for Nintendo Wii
got my Wii in US for $250USD. came singapore spend $15 to buy adpaptor at siao choon, a gaming shop near sim lim square. works good! consider the amount i save for a US Wii set bought in US rather than SG. worth it!forestial wrote:My kids have brought a US-model Nintendo Wii to Singapore.
