Moth attack

Post by jpatokal » Tue, 02 Jun 2009 10:03 am

So, this is really bizarre, but for the past few weeks, for no apparent reason, my kitchen and living room has been invaded nightly by moths -- and not the small ones that chew on clothes or flutter around lights, but big ugly-ass butterfly-sized ones that hide in dark corners during the day and then zoom out at inopportune moments to scare my GF. We don't leave any lights on or food out at night. We do leave the kitchen window open, but that's for ventilation and I'd prefer not to have to close it.

Any ideas for what to do? Obviously my first thought was "moth balls", but apparently these actually work by poisoning and killing moth larvae in enclosed spaces like closets, and would be useless for repelling them from an entire room.
