Blues in Bukit Timah

Post by Victor Chen » Tue, 02 Jun 2009 1:05 am

Hi all,

It dawned upon me that I might have a good target audience here, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

I play in two blues duos called Malted Milk and Medium Rare, the former being more acoustic-based playing Muddy Waters, Lightning Hopkins, Howling Wolf and the like with a few country/bluegrass numbers while the latter is an electric guitar + foot percussion + harmonica affair doing Little Walter-ish stuff.

We do monthly gigs at The Old Brown Shoe (619F Bukit Timah Rd) and for this month, Malted Milk will be playing on 20 June. Two sets starting from 2030hrs, great English food and good selection of beer, what's not to like?

If you'd like to be on our mailing list (which includes some info on other blues bands), drop me an email at victorchen(att)pacific(dot)net(dot)sg. There are also some recordings of our performances at http://pachome2.pacific.net.sg/~victorchen/ if you'd like to check them out.

Cheers,
Victor

Hi all,

Due to the heavy schedule of rugby matches to be screened at The Old Brown Shoe this Saturday, Malted Milk will not be playing. We will be back in July, so watch this space!

Cheers
Victor
