Just moved to Singapore with a 2 year old

Post by AFH » Sat, 30 May 2009 11:19 pm

Hi,
New to Singapore with a 2 year old boy and knowing nobody here.
Looking for mothers in the same situation or those wanting to lend a helping hand and invite for a playdate.
Thanks

Hi there. I am in a fairly similar situation. I have been here just over a month and have a 17 month old and a 3 year old (just, his birthday is today).

Anyway, I am currently on the lookout for new playmates for my little ones, as they are getting a bit bored just playing with each other. And it would be nice for me to meet some new people as well!

I am currently staying just off Bukit Timah road near to Turf City, and have a lot of free time on my hands.

Great, am I glad to hear that!
We are only temporarily staying at the East Coast.
Been here just two weeks.
I have no problems going over to your end.
As you have been here longer maybe you can suggest a place and a day to get together.
Take care,

Hi there,
I am moving to Singapore in August with my husband and 2 year old son. I would be delighted to meet up one we're settled in. Not sure yet where we'll be living. Any recommendations greatly received!

Hi Marni,

Can't PM you, haven't made enough posts, but if you are interested in meeting for a playdate please post back. I have a 3 year old boy (just) and 1 1/2 year old girl, and meet with AFH (originator of thread) pretty regularly.

Hi Becca,

Would love to meet up with you and AFH. Looks like I can PM now (5 posts seems to be the magic number), so I'll send you a message.

Best,

Marni
