We are moving to a new unfurnished house and we need to buy furniture.
Can anyone suggest nice places o buy affordable furniture that is not IKEA. Also is it cheaper/better to buy furniture from Malaysia? has anyone attempted?
thanks

Can also try here
http://www.barang.com.sg/corporate/outlets.htm
Every town centre in any HDB estate will have numerous small mom & pop furniture stores that sell mostly locally make furniture as well. There are a number of factory cum showrooms in the Kranji Industrial estate as well on the north side of the island (near the water as this is were the logs come in for milling). I can't recommend anything specific out there but if you have transport a drive around the industrial estate might turn up some gems.

Barang Barang almost always has sales running. If the items you like aren't on sale, try waiting a bit. (And, the Great Singapore Sale is just around the corner, it starts this Friday - May 29)

Never heard of this brand.
I just get adult size tables and chairs because they grow out too fast, waste of money to buy kids sizes.

I’m not sure that’s a thing here, unless you hire an interior designer and have them furnish your house for you.
