Qatar Airways SIN Interview - 13 June 2009 @ Hilton

Post by prisann » Mon, 25 May 2009 4:56 pm

Hi everyone,

have been watching the posts all round for a while.. am an ex crew and there is a walk in interview for Qatar on 13 June 2009, at Hilton Hotel. Wondering any current Qatar crew. Are you able to share your experiences over there? Workload, galley stuff (some galleys are damn manual, like the one i used to work for), accomodation.. most importantly, *embarrased*, rough gross take home.. and how often averagely do you get rostered on a flight back to SIN? Nightstop time in SIN? Thanks for answering my questions..

Pris

Does this pass muster for the English requirements that most airlines have? It is garbage.

it was on last Saturday's recruit section.. does anyone has insight bout Qatar. I have called SQ (re-employment) as well as checked open days for Emirates. SQ will not be hiring for next few months and so is the same for Emirates. They have freeezed hiring for the entire world!

Having said, I guess most are likely to settle for any available airlines at this moment, which makes the recruitment process tougher with more candidates selections this time. :?

yes, thats true I agree on the candidate selections will be tougher.. but somehow. i think this whole freeze thing will blow over pretty soon. it seems to be dying and settling down -- this economic crisis. The H1N1 is unlike SARS (thats really serious, we all got retrenched at SQ and asked to come back a year plus later), its a bad influenza but not as bad spreading like wildfire.. so are you guys going to Qatar? i simply have no idea anything about that airline, so very hesitant about it...

well at the moment i don't believe there's much of a choice is there? if Qatar airways is recruiting and you're serious about your profession as a cabin crew then what else is there to ponder over? All in all it'll be a learning experience for those who make it through the interview and for those who don't.. As it is, they do hold a Q&A before they kick-start the interview session, so if you do have queries still, bring it to their attention

I saw in their website they do recruit other cabin crews from newyork and other countries. It's interesting to work with ppl from different cultures.
