Works out miles cheaper in UK, so afraid I've been priced out. Pl do keep me in mind if you do find cheaper elsewhere or perhaps group prices however..

Good luck,
Sharm :)

Hi all,

I'm also a keen rider but working full time so weekday rides are not an option. I've made a couple of weekend trips to Riders' Lodge in Malaysia and can definitely recommend the place - the accommodation is nice, food delicious & plentiful and most importantly, they have good horses for all levels of riders and young, competent instructors from Europe, Oz and US. The prices at Riders' Lodge are very reasonable assuming two persons are sharing accommodation - the price of the riding lesson (2-4 person group) is RM 110 i.e. a bit over 20 euros / 40 sing. Would anyone be interested in joining me on one of the weekends? (leaving either Friday after work or early Sat morning, and returning Sun afternoon)? It is possible to go there by train or car, if it's 4 of us also their shuttle service price from Singapore works out to be reasonable. Anyone interested please email me at [email protected]

I am so happy to find this thread still relatively new! I am completely new to horse back riding. I probably need to start from beginner. I am not sure if I am too new to join you all for the trip?

Hi,

I'm new to horse riding but have always been wanting to try. Not many locals here like or know horse riding. Not sure if you guys still arrange trips to Malaysia?

Hi all,

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't checked this thread in a long time! Unfortunately the instructor has returned to Denmark and we are no longer going to Leisure Farm.

For those interested in riding, there are a few other options. One that was mentioned in this thread is Rider's Lodge in Malaysia, which is a truly excellent place with lovely horses; I've ridden there myself many times. Another is Amigos Horse Riding in Pasir Gudang (Site here), which has nice trails but not sure about the lessons.

A third option is the newly opened Turf Club Riding School in Kranji. I have yet to ride there but I've heard many nice things about the facilities. The website is here: Turf Club Riding Centre

Hope that helps!

Are you still making regular trips up to go riding or have the desire too?

Anyone else want to go? I am in and out of Singapore until April and I am almost completely free all the time anytime and would love to go!

does anyone know why it is that the International School students will not qualify for the reduced pricing at the Turf Club Riding Centre?
