Hi, I'm looking for people interested in horse riding who'd like to join me on weekdays. We drive up to Malaysia with the instructor in the afternoon and rent horses at Leisure Farm.
Thanks!

Hi,
I'd love to give it a go. I might be able to make it on some Fridays. Do you have any more details?
Regards,
Ella

Hi,
I was going to PM you but I can't do that with the number of posts I have now, so I'll reply here.
Currently our lessons are on an ad hoc basis; we try to get a group of 2 together and then make arrangements with the instructor. Fridays are fine as long as there are 2 of us ready to go.
The instructor is Inge Thorssen from Denmark. She also teaches at the Saddle Club.
The charges are $85 for the lesson (1h private lesson, as well as the lift to and from Singapore and Leisure Farm) and RM70 for the horse lease. We only pay for the lessons so it's cheaper than the Saddle Club or Polo Club, which have membership fees.
The Leisure Farm horses are pretty nice; some are suitable for beginners and others for more experienced riders. They have some facilities for jumping as well.
Hope that helps!

Ooooh I'd be interested in anything for the weekends since I'll be working full time!
I've ridden on and off for most of my life and had my own horse at various times.

I am an experienced rider (I used to have my own horses and have competed) who hasn't ridden in a few years. I have all my riding gear up in Singapore and I would love to join you guys on Fridays (I'm free all day).
Let me know if there are still places available.
Thanks

Hi all,
I'll be going with the organizer on 12 Jun Friday, so if there's no response to this thread, you could PM me and I'll pass your details along.
The lessons are unfortunately only for the weekdays as the instructor isn't available on weekends.
Regards,
Ella

Sorry for the lack of a response, I've been very busy lately. Unfortunately the instructor is only free to go on weekdays as she teaches elsewhere on weekends.
We are currently in the process of trying to find a cheaper place to ride but for the time being, we're still going up to Leisure Farm.
Tentatively 10 July is the next date, do email me if you're interested! I'm at vera.zasulich AT gmail.com.

Hi
I am a male, local Singaporean & read your message with interest.
Can I join you guys for the horse riding?
My contact email:
[email protected]
By the way, how far is the Leisure Farm from Malaysia (Woodland check point) custom?
Also, is over all cost $85 (includes horse lease RM70 & transportation) for 1 hour?
Thanks

Hi Cleto,
We leave Singapore from the Second Link. The time taken to get from the Second Link to Leisure Farm (assuming no jam) is about 20 minutes.
The total cost is S$85 for the lesson (approximately 1 hour private lesson plus transport) and, on top of that, RM70 for the horse lease. That brings a session to around S$115.
I'm currently trying to finalise the details of the riding schedule. A friend and I are going down this Thursday; do drop me an email if you'd like to join us.
Also, could you give me some indication of your riding level? This helps me book the horses with Leisure Farm.
Thanks!

Hi< I'm new to riding. Is the hour for two people at the same time and if so, is the cost ($115) each person or divided by two??
Can't make it before 8/8 but am free anytime after, thx

Hi Sharm,
The hour-long lessons are one-to-one, so you get the instructor's full attention! The cost is essentially $85 for lesson + transport and RM70 for the horse lease (1 hour).
My email is vera.zasulich AT gmail.com, do email me if you're still interested!
