Moving electronics from US to Singapore

Post by jewiley » Sat, 23 May 2009 11:53 pm

I am planning a move to Singapore and am trying to figure out which of my electronics I should bring and which I should leave behind. My primary concerns are related to laptop computers and electronic drums. Should I bring the laptops and drums?

A lot of electronic equipment will operate on 110 to 220 volts, check the label on your device. (Often located where the electrical cord goes into the device.)
Your laptop will almost certainly work and all you will need is a small plastic converter available at most grocery and electronic stores here.

The voltage here is 220 volts, so be sure to check the label on your device to see if it says 110 to 220v. (The plugs are different but adaptors are cheap)
