Overseas homestays for kids

Post by stevep1114 » Wed, 20 May 2009 7:03 pm

Hi All,

I was hoping to get some recommendations, suggestions and/or ideas for homestays for kids. Our 11 y/o son is going to be on holiday from June and we would like to send him out of the country for a short bit of time to see another culture. Australia would be a great option but we are open to other countries.

We have done some research to find some but they tend to be for older kids 16+ or for language exchange. He doesn't need language exchange but the cultural experience for him would be great. We are concerned about his safety and there are so many websites out there that we just don't know which to go with.

Any ideas or recommendations for safe and fun programs would be greatly appreciated.
