Pretty cheap, too at S$389.
The Dell monitor above max's out at 1680 x 1050 resolution. Why would it need dual DVI?bigfilsing wrote:You may also want to consider that you'll need a dual link DVi graphics cards to get the best out of the higher resolution screens and of course a "true" dual link DVI cable. Not the easiest of things to find even at SLS.
I'm always amazed at how many people spend serious dollars on a graphics card then just use the standard DVI cable.
Here's a table to show the plug configs for easy ref
Good luck

Are you selling it?IronMac wrote:I currently have a Dell 2209WA sitting unboxed in front of my desk here. (I am not buying any more big purchases until my status in SG is sorted out.) I purchased it April 29 at one of the Dell storefronts at Funan for S$354.17 all in. It was quoted to me at S$389 just a few days before that(!).
The 2209WA is supposed to be the best value for the buck IPS panel on the market right now. You may or may not see it on the Dell SG site because it depends if SG has any units allocated at any one time. I had to go and ask for the model specifically and was told it would take 8-10 days for delivery. Of course, they were more than willing to take my money.
Oops..no, sorry if that was the impression I was giving. I should have made it more clear that if someone wanted to buy this particular model, do not depend on the SG Dell site to get it. Go down to one of the Dell storefronts and order it there.Strong Eagle wrote:Are you selling it?IronMac wrote:I currently have a Dell 2209WA sitting unboxed in front of my desk here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i thought the graphic card is analogous until the dual cable is fixed, so a better picture is received from the graphic card by a not so true digital signal, even though the monitor will max out at that resolution you state, the gaming and HD is greatly improved using the dual cable it has something to do with the programming I believe, rather than a digital chip but not sure. I have seen the difference because of a dual card i used to have linked up by a dual cable. the old Orchid i think it was called and matrox are specialists at dual graphics, so god knows what they have achieved lately. I recall working in the components industry and the cards then was very expensive back in mid 90's cost as much as some of the monitors.Strong Eagle wrote:The Dell monitor above max's out at 1680 x 1050 resolution.
